Material Handler

Start your new career as a Material Handler with MAU in Newnan, GA. As a Material Handler, you will move aluminum extrusions from storage racks to the staging area, supporting production while maintaining a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 1 year of manufacturing or production experience with a stable work history
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and use a tape measure to 1/32 inch
• Ability to read written instructions and follow verbal directions
• Experience using a hand pallet jack or motorized pallet jack
• Willingness to cross-train in multiple production areas
• Experience with small hand tools preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety policies and procedures
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)

What You'll Do as a Material Handler:

• Move aluminum extrusions from storage racks to the staging area for production
• Read and verify measurements using a tape measure
• Lift, push, pull, and move materials weighing 50+ pounds
• Load, unload, and transport materials using hand or motorized pallet jacks
• Perform frequent reaching, grasping, handling, and lifting throughout the shift
• Safely handle small parts and large materials
• Wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, Kevlar sleeves, and long pants
• Follow all safety procedures and report workplace hazards
• Support production by maintaining an organized and efficient work area
• Cross-train in other production tasks as needed
