The Material Handler supports daily warehouse and production operations by safely moving, storing, and supplying materials throughout the hose manufacturing facility. This role requires hands-on forklift operation, inventory handling, and close coordination with production and shipping teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, finished goods, and packaging throughout the facility
Load and unload trucks in accordance with safety and quality standards
Stage materials for production lines and ensure timely delivery to manufacturing areas
Accurately receive, label, and store inventory in designated locations
Perform inventory transactions in the ERP/WMS system (as applicable)
Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventories
Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and forklift operation guidelines
Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum [1–3] years of material handling or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment
Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts
Experience working in a fast-paced industrial or hose manufacturing setting is a plus
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems preferred
