PGS Worldwide is seeking a Material Handler in Phoenix, AZ for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Material Handler will support production flow by moving materials for production use and maintaining accurate inventory transactions. This role includes transferring materials to storage or production areas, supporting stockroom activity, and following established quality standards in a moderate to fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position requires ERP experience, cycle counting experience, and the ability to safely handle materials up to 50 lbs.
Required Skills
High school diploma.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or stockroom environment, technical schooling in a related area, or an approved equivalent combination of experience, technical training, and education.
ERP experience, preferably Oracle.
Cycle counting experience.
Ability to read and understand work documents.
Ability to communicate information clearly to coworkers and managers.
Ability to accurately complete forms, reports, and logs.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand work processes.
Ability to use both hands for manipulating, handling, and inspecting required items.
Ability to move, pull, lift, and horizontally transfer product weighing up to 50 lbs unaided.
Ability to follow established quality levels and complete assigned tasks within required timeframes and workspace requirements.
Preferred Skills
Forklift certification or forklift experience.
What You'll Do
Move materials to support uninterrupted production flow.
Perform accurate inventory transactions for materials placed into storage or transferred to the production line.
Support production, stockroom, and material movement activities.
Handle, inspect, and transfer materials according to work instructions and quality standards.
Complete required forms, reports, and logs accurately.
Work in a repetitive, moderate to fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Follow assignments from the department manager, group leader, or line leader.
Work Schedule / Shift
Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Pay
Up to $20.00 per hour
