Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking a Material Handler for a direct hire, onsite role supporting daily production and inventory operations.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment who is comfortable moving materials, tracking inventory, and supporting production teams to keep work running smoothly.
Pay Rate: 21-25/hr
Responsibilities
Pull parts, raw materials, components, and production supplies based on work orders, job requirements, and production schedules
Deliver materials to designated workstations to support production flow and minimize downtime
Verify part numbers, quantities, and material accuracy before issuing items to production
Receive, inspect, organize, and properly store incoming materials and parts
Maintain inventory accuracy by stocking materials in designated locations and reporting shortages, discrepancies, or damaged items
Assist with routine cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory record updates
Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts, if certified and authorized
Maintain proper documentation for materials handled, work completed, and inventory activity
Keep inventory and production areas clean, organized, and safe
Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production guidelines
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1 to 3 years of experience in material handling, inventory, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or production support
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
Ability to read work orders, part numbers, inventory labels, and basic production documentation
Experience with inventory tracking, cycle counts, or ERP/material management systems preferred
Forklift experience or certification preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to verify quantities and part accuracy
Ability to work independently while supporting production schedules and team needs
Dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment
Basic computer skills for inventory entry, documentation, or material tracking
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This role requires regular movement throughout an indoor manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be comfortable working around production equipment, shop noise, temperature changes, and active manufacturing operations. Use of required safety equipment may be needed.
