To work closely with the Machine Operators to ensure only quality products go out the door to our customers. The Material Handler position is critical to our success. This position requires self-starting, extreme attention to detail, tremendous hustle, and a teamwork attitude. Machine Requirements:Machines have materials and supplies for shift according to production scheduleArea surrounding machines are kept clean free of dirt and moppedProduction, Palletizing & Grinding areas are kept clean, organized, and free of clutter. Roll Changes:Material Check in for material tracking, recording Handler number and time of roll change. Understands and correctly fill out forms Perform roll changes for all machines. Avoid machine downtime by anticipating roll change and being at machine before end of roll whenever possible.Ensures machine is operating correctly after roll change. Ensures material is properly feeding through machine after roll change making changes as necessary. Leaves machine only after machine is up and running correctly. Has backup roll of material loaded for machine within 10 minutes of roll change. Roll is cleaned, fit and ready for use. Palletizing:Moves finished pallets to palletizer for wrapping.Marks pallets with appropriate information for shipping.Stages pallets for pickupQualifications Include: Production/manufacturing experience preferred. Requires a good understanding of machinery. Good math and verbal communication skills with ability to work in a team environment. Physical requirements include ability to lift 50 lbs to shoulder height and move quickly and readily about the entire plant site.
