Material Handler - Portsmouth, NH

Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking a Material Handler to perform day to day tasks in receiving, stocking, order picking, and distribution based on established procedures and guidelines.

Material Handler Job Details:

Location: Portsmouth, NH 03801

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:30am - 4:00pm

Starting Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hourly (Based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all system-wide safety regulations and infection control procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment in the Distribution Center (CDC).
• Receive, confirm, and enter merchandise into the hospital information system.
• Pick and stage outgoing orders accurately for timely delivery.
• Generate shipping labels and delivery documents; prepare and ship merchandise via freight carriers.
• Operate forklifts and picking equipment safely.
• Manage inventory: restocking, stock rotation, cycle counts, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Resolve receiving issues and discrepancies with the Receiving Clerk and Warehouse Manager.
• Communicate policies and provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and customers.
• Use Microsoft Office and other software (including PMM) to perform required tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• Previous experience with forklifts and picker equipment required.
• Typing and basic computer/data entry skills helpful.
• Ability to lift 35-50 lbs. and stand, bend, or kneel for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with numbers.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
