Receiving clerk is responsible for receiving incoming parts and properly label, helping to gather parts for assembly team when needed. Material Handler - The Material Handler is responsible for moving material in the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive all incoming materials, supplies, equipment & returned goods. Check against PO or receiving paperwork.
Check quantity, type, size, part numbers, dimensions, etc. to properly identify materials.
Route or deliver materials to storage or manufacturing locations.
Maintain records & prepare receiving reports.
Help load & unload trucks.
Operate crane to lift, transport and position loads requiring skill & care in handling up to the capacity of the equipment. Use proper rigging methods.
Responsible for receiving all goods including raw steel and processed kits. Pull kits and bring to production staff.
Before leaving for the day make sure all forklifts are parked inside, and the annex doors are closed.
Inspection to ensure parts meet production specifications and standards. Report defective materials to supervisor.
Organize parts.
Complete any special projects as required. May be assigned to other areas of Operations, based on business or customer requirements.
Housekeeping.
Empty all garbage cans/bins in the facility including chip bins. Maintain work areas; always keep organized, clean and safe; indoors and outdoors. Keep west yard organized.
Clean/Organize shop floor: sweep main isles using sweeper and organize pallets.

Clean shop, administration, and locker room bathrooms: Refill soap dispensers, paper towel, toilet paper, and any other toiletries. Sweep and mop floor, clean mirrors, and flush floor drains. Weekly wipe down lockers, stall walls and window ledges.
Clean lunchrooms, break rooms, and conference areas: Clean the inside and outside of refrigerators & microwaves, wipe down countertops, tables, coffee machines, and sinks.
Clean parking lot: Drive over parking lot using a forklift with magnet attachment, pick up and throw away wood scraps, broken pallets, and other debris.
Clean hallway: Clean and sweep the area from the main office entrance to the shop.
On a weekly basis: check all stairwells/stairs for dirt and debris-sweep accordingly and wipe down railings.
Snow shoveling and salting.
Other duties as assigned.
