ChemRite CoPac is looking for a Material Handler at their GMP-regulated liquid blending and filling manufacturing operation that provides contract packaging, blending, and filling services for OTC, cosmetic, and specialty chemical products. ChemRite CoPac partners with customers to manufacture high-quality liquid products across a variety of package types while maintaining strict adherence to FDA, GMP, and customer-specific quality requirements.
This position supports the Receiving & Warehousing team by keeping production accurately, safely, and reliably supplied with raw materials and components. This role is critical to on-time line service, inventory accuracy, and lot traceability across the plant and its warehouse locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Putaway
- Receive and verify incoming raw materials and components against purchase orders
- Safely move and scan inventory from receiving to the correct warehouse locations using forklift and barcode scanner
- Apply First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices to maintain product quality and rotation
Production Support & Inventory Control
- Pull materials for daily production based on the schedule and pick tickets, following lot control procedures
- Deliver materials to the production line on time to support continuous operations
- Monitor hourly line usage and restock proactively
- Cross-train on all material handling functions to support coverage across the plant and warehouse locations
Safety & Housekeeping
- Keep aisles and workflow areas clear and organized for warehouse safety and efficiency
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines and flag equipment or workspace hazards
Communication & Ownership
- Communicate daily receiving activity and any issues to the Warehouse Manager
- Take ownership and follow through, including finding solutions when needed
- Collaborate well across departments, including Production and Blending
Minimum Qualifications:
- 18+ years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Strong reading and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus
- Forklift certification and ERP system experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Warehouse and dock environment, working around forklifts and material handling equipment
- Frequent lifting, moving, and scanning of materials and containers
- Comfortable working across multiple buildings/locations as needed
Schedule & Work Expectations:
Full-time position; may require overtime, weekends, and schedule flexibility based on production needs.
