Material Handler

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our growing team.

Department/Team: Reports to Production Supervisor

Shift (if applicable): Day Shift

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation's largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for a Material Handler to assist our Distribution division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Depending on assignment, our team members may do any of the following duties:

• Operating propane and/or electric forklift vehicles
• Perform start of shift preventative maintenance inspection
• Assist in inventory cycle counts as needed
• Material preparation and material handling
• Other general warehouse duties as needed
• Gathers the necessary materials to support the assembly floor
• Assists in the assembly operations
• Detects and reports defective materials
• Labels finished products to match appropriate paperwork
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Retrieve raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products for proper assembly
• Other general warehouse duties as needed
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $25.18 to $27.81 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
