Core Responsibilities:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. May perform other duties as required.

  • Interpret production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping documents, and requisitions to determine material movement and distribution needs.

  • Move, transport, and deliver materials and products from receiving or production areas to storage locations or designated work areas.

  • Sort and store materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to established sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

  • Pick, assemble, and distribute materials to support production orders and internal requests.

  • Assemble customer orders from inventory, palletize shipments, and prepare products for distribution.

  • Label and mark materials with appropriate identifying information.

  • Open and handle bales, crates, cartons, and other containers safely.

  • Accurately record quantities of materials received, stored, or distributed.

  • Weigh or count items to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.

  • Enter inventory and transaction data into computer systems.

  • Operate manual and powered material-handling equipment to transport and store inventory.

  • Load and unload palletized and non-palletized products from trailers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years of Material Handler experience or related experience

  • Forklift experience

  • Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic math skills

  • Ability to use personal computers and software in a variety of functions including: keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

The estimated pay range for this position is $18/hr. - $20/hr. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
