PositionOverview:

As a Material Handler, youre a member of an assigned production crew, reporting to the Plant Warehouse Supervisor. You will contribute to the success of Ball by observing operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility. The Rome plant is a high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 12 hour shifts (6am-6pm/6pm-6am) working 3 days on/3 days off and swings from day to night shift every 4 weeks.

YourKey ResponsibilitiesInclude:

+ Follow all5S standards and jobsafety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.

+ Operate forklift and coordinate products including raw materials, scrap, finished goods, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies.

+ Effectively communicate with vendors, delivery drivers, and customers.

+ Inspect aluminium for proper quality standards and customer specifications.

+ Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating,

+ communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.

RequiredExperience& Skills:

+ High School Diplomaor education equivalent.

+ 1 year of work experience in an industrial environment.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

+ 3 or more years ofoperation and maintenance of forklift.

+ Working knowledge of proper hazardous waste management.

+ Experience using JD Edwards, AS900, or similar warehouse or ERP system.

Physical Environment & Working Conditions:

+ May be subjecttoallofthe following, but not limited to:

+ Hot/Cold working conditions.

+ Loud /Noisy environment.

+ Standing and walking forprolonged periodsof time.

+ Climbing (stairs,catwalks, and other equipment as necessary).

Compensation & Benefits:

+ Expected Hourly Pay: $27.30 (Salary to be determined by the applicants education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

+ Quarterly gainshare bonus program

+ Onsite Work Environment:This position is based in Rome, GA and requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
