Material Handler

Position Summary:

Support the material handling activities in Saddle Brook plant to obtain a safe, efficient, productive, and economical manufacturing operation. Primary functions will be to process and transport materials throughout the organization.

Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):

• Transport and load/unload materials in the warehouse and value stream(s) to and from pallets, bins, racks, shelves, etc.
• Pick parts for shipping and package according to shipping procedures. Complete appropriate paperwork needed to ship the material.
• Perform transactions in GLOVIA to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Use of pallet jacks, wav machine, forklifts and hand trucks to bring materials to the appropriate locations.
• Fill Kan-Ban bins on the value stream(s).
• Monitor stockroom accuracy and report discrepancies in quantities to supervisors.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

• Must be able to stand, bend, push, and reach for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a basic reading/writing ability to read and interpret customer orders and shipping/trafficking requirements.
• Basic math and computer skills are necessary.
• Knowledge of GLOVIA inventory database is helpful but not required.
• Material handlers may be certified on the use of forklifts and other material moving equipment.

Salary range: $18.00/hour. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
