Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Material Handler to join a busy fabrication and manufacturing operation in Sapulpa. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, locating, packing, and moving raw materials and finished products throughout the facility while maintaining established safety, quality, and productivity standards.
This is a safety-sensitive position involving regular work around overhead cranes, forklifts, trucks, power equipment, automated machinery, and other industrial processes. The ideal candidate has previous material-handling or fabrication shop experience, is comfortable operating industrial equipment, and works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous material-handling, warehouse, manufacturing, or fabrication shop experience preferred
Basic fabrication shop experience
Ability to successfully complete forklift training
Ability to read and write basic shop communications
Ability to accurately read and use a shop tape measure
Ability to follow material-moving orders and work instructions
Strong attention to safety and material-handling procedures
Ability to maintain established productivity and quality standards
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
Willingness to work Saturdays when required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Load and unload materials and merchandise from trucks
Pack and prepare materials appropriately before loading or movement
Locate raw materials, finished products, and packed components throughout the facility
Follow material-moving orders and production instructions accurately
Move and stage materials according to production requirements
Operate forklifts to transport materials throughout the facility
Operate industrial trucks and electric hoists as trained and authorized
Assist with overhead crane material-handling activities
Verify materials are properly positioned and secured before movement
Support efficient material flow between production and fabrication areas
Maintain established productivity requirements
Ensure workmanship and material handling meet company quality standards
Maintain clean, organized, and safe material storage and work areas
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Maintain workplace organization according to 5S requirements
Perform additional material-handling and production duties as assigned

Forklift Requirements
Candidates must be able to successfully complete the company's forklift training class
Previous forklift experience is strongly preferred
Operators must follow all equipment and material-handling safety requirements
Safe equipment operation and awareness around pedestrians and production personnel are essential

Preferred Qualifications
Previous Material Handler experience
Forklift operating experience
Overhead crane or hoist experience
Manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience
Fabrication shop experience
Shipping, receiving, loading, or unloading experience
Material staging experience
Basic blueprint or shop drawing familiarity
Strong mechanical aptitude
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely handle fabrication materials and finished products
Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts and other equipment throughout the workday
Comfortable working around cranes, trucks, forklifts, and industrial machinery
Ability to perform physically demanding material-handling work throughout an extended shift
Ability to safely perform assigned duties while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Industrial fabrication and manufacturing environment
Regular work around forklifts, overhead cranes, trucks, hoists, automated equipment, and heavy materials
Hands-on position supporting material movement and production operations
Safety-sensitive environment requiring constant awareness around industrial equipment
MondayFriday schedule with some Saturday work based on production requirements
Strong emphasis on safety, productivity, quality, teamwork, and 5S workplace organization
