This position reports to:

Supervisor (IPS)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist the Quality team in implementing and maintaining a quality system, including conducting audits, establishing controls, training on tools and methodologies. Each day, you will support activities related to quality management within the organizational unit. You will also showcase your expertise by reporting quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer cases and maintaining process documentation.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Safety

  • Understands and follows plant safety and procedures
  • Avoids or prevents hazardous conditions from developing
  • Wears appropriate protective equipment as required, dresses and conducts self in a safe manner
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S
  • Participates in plant safety objectives

Job Functions

  • Move products in the warehouse and the production floor, either manually or using PIT equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts and lifts
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto to production floor
  • Lift and move heavy items and maintain that lifting ability throughout their entire shift
  • Pulling inventory and moving stock and other materials to fulfill orders
  • Unloading product deliveries by pulling product off trucks and stocking shelves
  • Responsible for pulling/receiving material, storing materials, inventory control and managing of material location
  • Manages material counts/location in coordination with storekeeper, ensuring correct inventory
  • Manage receipts and issues of the raw material and manufactured components
  • Ensures quality operation of the process, performs quality checks and controls, including adherence to cleaning and maintenance
  • Must maintain pre-determined efficiency, standards and productivity rates
  • Prepares and maintains accurate production records and follows SOP’s
  • Communicates respectfully with all team members. 
  • Ensures shift change is completed, and forms are filled out with accurate and appropriate information
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the Material Handler role

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma/GED is required
  • 6 months’related experience
  • Ability to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functions
  • Can work overtime to meet Business Objectives
  • Can work a weekend schedule as needed.

  • Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand various written instructions in English
  • Bend, twist & turn in a safe manner
  • Lift up to 40 Pounds

  • Strong math skills
