Job Description The Shipping / Packing Material Handler is the front‑line expert responsible for preparing, packaging, and loading outbound shipments in strict accordance with MIL‑STD‑2073 and all contract‑specific packaging requirements. The incumbent will safeguard classified materiel, requiring a current DoD Secret clearance, and will manage the inventory of all shipping supplies-including boxes, cushioning, stretch‑wrap, and labeling media-by tracking usage, conducting regular cycle counts, and generating purchase requisitions to replenish stock before shortages occur. This role blends meticulous attention to detail, compliance‑driven packing practices, and proactive supply‑chain stewardship to ensure that every shipment leaves the facility on time, undamaged, and fully compliant with government‑mandated standards.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: 2 years in a warehouse/shipping environment; prior experience packing and loading trucks preferred
Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly; stand, bend, reach, and walk for 8‑hour shifts
Equipment Operation: Forklift (Class A/B) and pallet jack certification (or willingness to obtain)
Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy (WMS/ERP interface, handheld scanner)
Attention to Detail: Proven track record of high‑accuracy order fulfillment
Reliability: Stellar attendance record for the past 12 months
Soft Skills: Team‑player, good communication, proactive problem‑solver
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $60332 - $96532

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
