The main missions of the role are:
  • Help releasing orders to all areas per the production schedule
  • Working directly with Production Supervisor/Logistics Supervisor on components that are not here to support the production schedule.
  • Assist receiving with all receiving discrepancies.
  • Assist with receiving counts and inspections.
  • Maintain KPI’s by providing data on supplier quality issues at the point of receiving.
  • Monitor status of component and inform management/Scheduling when component availability dates do not support customer MRD’s.
  • Perform a rotating cycle on pre-determined components.
  • Identify the completion of kits by providing ‘Red tag’ for kits that are missing components and a ‘Green tag’ for kits that are complete with all components.
  • Work with Management and supervisors to drive resolution with issues related component avalibility.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Clean / paint equipment, clean / seal floors, paint lines around equipment when line is down or when assigned
  • Actively participate in work teams
  • Move materials / supplies / finished goods to designated places in the facility manually or by hand truck
  • Implement at least two improvement ideas per month
  • Other duties as requested

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, gripping and bending
  • High mental and visual effort required
  • Work involves considerable bending and twisting
  • Able and willing to work overtime when required

Safety / Hazards:
  • Steel toed shoes required in production area at all times due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts and product
  • CSA standard safety glasses required in production area due to dust, oils and debris
  • Exposed to moderate burns, cuts and bruises
  • Exposed to significant temperature changes in the facility – (heat in the summer / cold in the winter)


As a contributor to the development of team autonomy, the operator:
  • has the level of polyvalence required for the GAP (Autonomous Group of Production)
  • tracks results and specific information in case of problems
  • participates to communication (Top 5, meetings), and provides all necessary information on GAP activities, results, problems, opportunities for improvement
  • trains other operators and newcomers upon request, shares know-how, provides assistance if needed
 
  • Read, understand and abide by the Code of Management and Code of Ethics rules


Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Experience in material handeling in an industrial environment
  • Satisfactory company work record, including attendance
  • Successful completion of Faurecia’s in-house training program
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform to the quality standard and production pace
  • Able to perform basic minor repairs on equipment to include replacing consumable parts
  • Ability to follow instruction verbal and written – high school diploma minimum
  • Good communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate with employees of all levels
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and in a positive manner
