Job Description

Job Title: Material Hander

Pay: $20.00/hr. - Paid Weekly

Hours: Monday to Friday (5:00 am to 3:30 pm) OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED

Sims-Lohman is seeking a Material Handler at our Smyrna, Tennessee Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, electric pallet jack, dollys to load and unload materials
Build and assemble pallets and containers for shipping and distribution
Perform order picking and packing duties to fulfill customer orders
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of materials
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including OSHA regulations, to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements:

Minimum two years previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
Ability to operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts and EPJs, in a safe and efficient manner
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management
Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and procedures
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Experience:

Warehouse Material Handling: 2 years (Required)
Ability to operate equipment efficiently - Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) and Forklift
