Job Title: Material Handler Shift: 12-Hour Rotating Shift 2/2/3 Schedule Day Shift: 6:00 AM 6:00 PM Night Shift: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM
Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to receive, move, store, and organize materials throughout the facility. This role supports warehouse and production operations by ensuring materials are delivered accurately and safely, assisting with shipping and receiving, maintaining inventory, and keeping work areas clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, transport, and store materials in designated warehouse, production, and line-side locations.
Load and unload trucks and trailers for intercompany and external shipments.
Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, strappers, and balers.
Complete required equipment safety inspections and follow all PPE and safety procedures.
Report equipment problems, damaged materials, shortages, and inventory discrepancies to the Lead Material Handler.
Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, spot checks, and inventory documentation.
Consolidate and organize inventory as needed.
Remove plant refuse and recyclables according to facility procedures.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas using 5S principles.
Participate in audits, continuous improvement activities, and operational initiatives.
Follow all company policies and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED preferred.
Basic math and warehouse terminology skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and organization.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Previous supply chain or material handling experience is not required; training is provided.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; no employment visa sponsorship is available.
Physical & Work Environment:
Ability to perform physical material handling and lifting tasks.
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Exposure to varying temperatures, forklift/pedestrian traffic, and elevated noise levels.
Safety shoes and safety glasses are required on the shop floor.
Company provides PIT training and certification.
