Material Handler / Warehouse Associate
Pay Rate: $21.88/hour
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Overview / Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Material Handler / Warehouse Associate to support warehouse picking, material requests, inventory movement, and forklift operations. This position will generate and fulfill material requests for various programs and external customers while supporting order picking, stocking, and put-away activities.
The ideal candidate has strong warehouse and material handling experience, excellent computer skills, and the ability to remain accurate and organized in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pull materials for internal programs and external customers.
- Generate and fulfill material requests accurately and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment for order picking, stocking, and put-away.
- Receive, move, stage, and organize warehouse inventory.
- Pack and box devices and materials for shipment.
- Physically and systematically transfer inventory between locations.
- Perform inventory transactions using automated warehouse computer systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Use systems such as Oracle, AIMS, and MRW to process material transactions.
- Follow warehouse procedures and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
- Multi-task effectively while maintaining 100% accuracy in a highly dynamic environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and other departments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of material handling, warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory control experience.
- Previous forklift experience and/or forklift certification.
- Strong computer skills and experience working with warehouse/inventory systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
- Good driving record.
- Experience using hand trucks, pallet jacks, pickers, or similar material-handling equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for 8+ hours per day.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for repetitive tasks and material handling.
- Good near and far vision.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing 25–50 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous forklift certification.
- Experience with Oracle, AIMS, or MRW.
- Shipping, receiving, inventory control, or order-picking experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse environment.
