Job Title: Value Stream Supervisor

Position Summary

The Value Stream Supervisor is responsible for converting the Master Production Schedule into a coordinated, executable short-term production sequence for the value stream. This role acts as the link between the Master Scheduler and shop floor execution, ensuring all production areas align to a common build sequence and production priorities.

The Value Stream Supervisor sequences Tank & Canopy as the designated pacemaker, establishes required build and completion dates, communicates execution priorities to feeder areas, and monitors production readiness to ensure all subassemblies converge at Final Assembly as planned.

This position coordinates activities across scheduling, planning, and production teams but does not replace the responsibilities of the Master Scheduler, area planners, or production supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert the Master Production Schedule into an executable short-term production plan.
• Establish and maintain the value stream production sequence.
• Sequence Tank & Canopy operations to reduce changeovers and improve flow.
• Communicate production priorities and due dates across Final Assembly and feeder areas.
• Monitor production readiness and identify risks before they impact Final Assembly.
• Coordinate activities across planning, scheduling, and production functions.
• Support customer ship date commitments.
• Drive alignment toward FIFO production and supermarket replenishment systems.
• Facilitate execution reviews and escalate production issues as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or production execution.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and cross-functional dependencies.
• Experience interpreting production schedules, work orders, bills of material (BOMs), and production system data.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, MES, or manufacturing scheduling systems.
• Ability to analyze product mix, lead times, production constraints, and changeover impacts.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of Value Stream Mapping, FIFO systems, supermarkets, and visual management.
• Strong communication, coordination, and escalation skills.
• Experience leading daily production readiness and execution meetings.

Primary Objectives

• Support customer ship date requirements.
• Reduce Tank & Canopy changeovers.
• Provide clear production due dates for Final Assembly and feeder areas.
• Align all manufacturing areas to common production priorities.
• Proactively identify and mitigate production readiness risks.
• Support the transition to FIFO and pull-based manufacturing processes.
