Material Handler
Location: Kent, Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20.00/hr. - $22.00/hr.
Schedule: 2nd/3rd
Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, receiving, storing, and organizing materials throughout the facility while helping ensure production and shipping operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the facility.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials.
- Pick and prepare materials for production or shipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as authorized.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material locations.
- Safely stack, store, and secure materials.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse activities.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Follow company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling experience preferred.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
