A large supply company is seeking a Material Handler who will be responsible for operating industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries, move them to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities, while following all safety guidelines.  Training will be done for 4 to 5 weeks on first shift from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then the position will move to third shift.

Job Duties:

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Use various sizes of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves
  • Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks and secure all loads before handling
  • Ensure the production lines have material they need to keep production moving in a continuous flow
  • Report inbound and outbound load discrepancies to supervisor
  • Assist with packing, labeling, and preparing shipments
  • Use RF scanner to record material movement throughout the facility
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Monitor surroundings to make sure necessary safety precautions are being used as well as look for ways to prevent accidents from occurring
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
