East Penn Manufacturing, a world class leader in lead-acid battery manufacturing, is seeking experienced Material Handlers at our Distribution Center in Topton, PA.  Join our high-performing team where precision, safety, and innovation drive success.  We're hiring skilled Warehouse Workers who thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.  Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and has experience operating forklifts, walkie riders, towmotors, and stacktrucks. Average starting wage of $27 per hour.

Plus a $5,000 Sign-On/Retention Bonus!

 

Opportunities available on 2^nd and 3^rd shift.

Consistent schedule and guaranteed 40 hours with opportunity for overtime.

2nd shift - 8 hour shifts from 3:00pm-11:00pm

3rd shift - 8 hour shifts from 11:00pm-7:00am

 

Responsibilities:

Loads, unloads, and moves materials from one location to another within the warehouse using a towmotor, stack truck and/or electric truck (walkie).

• Picking batteries to build a pallet based on customer order.
• Packaging and shipping product on trailers.
• Receives incoming material and logs it in computerized tracking system.
• Verifies the correctness of incoming parts and counts
• Sorts incoming parts and puts them away in the proper location.
• Manifests pallets using a handheld RF scanner.
• Use a computer to locate and move pallets.
• Weekly inventory of product.

Qualifications:

• Experience operating forklifts, walkie riders, towmotors, and stacktrucks
• Basic Reading Skills 
• Basic Math Skills (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying)
• Basic computer skills (ability to interact with computer screens).
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds safely and efficiently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Safety-conscious and detail-driven mindset.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
