Schedule: Monday–Thursday, Overtime Available
Available Shifts:
1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM ($2.50/hr Shift Differential)
Weekend Shift: Based on production needs
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support daily manufacturing and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for ensuring production teams have the materials they need, when they need them, by receiving incoming shipments, organizing inventory, operating forklifts, and delivering materials throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, has strong organizational skills, and understands the importance of accuracy, safety, and keeping production running efficiently.
This is a hands-on position that requires daily forklift operation, inventory tracking, and coordination with production departments. The Material Handler will also assist with transferring materials between company buildings as needed.
Transport raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the manufacturing facility.
Deliver materials to production departments according to work schedules to prevent production delays.
Pull, pick, and stage materials based on work orders, pick lists, and job travelers.
Verify that correct materials and quantities are prepared for production.
Transfer materials between company buildings and assist other locations as needed.
Safely operate forklifts daily to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and report equipment issues.
Ensure materials are properly secured and stored in designated areas.
Follow established forklift operating procedures and safety requirements.
Load and unload trucks and incoming shipments.
Verify received materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation.
Identify and report damaged shipments, shortages, and discrepancies.
Label, count, organize, and store materials in assigned inventory locations.
Assist with recording inventory receipts, transfers, materials issued to jobs, and inventory adjustments.
Support cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain accurate stock records.
Work closely with management to resolve inventory discrepancies and maintain organized inventory records.
Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled storage areas, staging locations, and warehouse aisles.
Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Handle materials safely to prevent damage, injuries, and production interruptions.
Assist with additional warehouse and manufacturing responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to obtain company forklift certification within the first 30 days of employment.
Ability to read and accurately interpret packing slips, work orders, pick lists, and shipping documents.
Strong basic math and counting skills to ensure inventory accuracy.
Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Ability to perform physical material-handling duties throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, material handling, or shipping and receiving.
Prior forklift operating experience.
Experience with inventory tracking, cycle counts, and material transfers.
Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems and production work orders.
Experience supporting multiple departments or buildings within a manufacturing operation.
The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of managing multiple material-handling responsibilities while maintaining accuracy.
