Material Handler Job Description

This position requires prior experience working as a Material Handler with a forklift  in manufacturing/production operation. Sit down fork lift preferred, but not required.

Duties include: Handle the product, package, take off line, counting, preparing incoming parts for receiving steps, delivery of parts and materials to manufacturing production lines and shipping.

Knowledge of safe working practices.

Regular and reliable attendance along with flexibility to support overtime situations.

Requirements-

Prior experience in Material Handling methods in support of manufacturing operation.

Accuracy and attention to detail in counting and pulling/inspecting of parts.

Ability to multi-task and keep track of several different tasks throughout the day.

Working knowledge of SAP (or like system of complexity).

Team player with positive communication skills and ability to listen well and quickly apply new learnings and processes. Interfaces with team members, factory and site employees, and area leadership.

Experience working in a fast paced environment, yet at the same time displaying the mindset of doing tasks the right way the first time.

Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds at times.

Education Requirement for both:

High school graduate with experience in this type of environment.

Required education:

• High school or equivalent
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Must have a CAN DO ATTITUDE
