Technica is seeking a Material Handling Laborer to support the DLA Warehouse at NAS
Position Summary:
The Material Handling Laborer will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise. Duties involve one or more of the following:
- Manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices
- Unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations
- Transporting goods by material handling equipment, hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.
- Responsible for the receipt, inspection, inventory, condition code classification, storage, issue, packing and shipment of equipment, material, and supplies
- Process material and equipment by utilizing DLA provided SOPs, computer systems, and programs.
- Load and unload conveyances utilizing material handling equipment up to 50K forklift.
Qualifications:
- US Citizen
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
- Valid state driver's license
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must have the ability to be cleared for a NACI clearance to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position.
