    Material Handling Team Leader
    1st Shift | Mon–Thu, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
    Starting at $21.50/hr

    What You’ll Do

    As a Material Handling Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll lead a team responsible for inventory accuracy, material flow, and organization while actively contributing to problem-solving and process improvement.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Lead and support associates performing material handling and inventory-related tasks

    • Ensure timely delivery of materials to production and proper staging of finished goods

    • Maintain inventory accuracy through stock verifications, discrepancy resolution, and Kanban system management

    • Process ECNs while maintaining shipment schedules and inventory integrity

    • Research part shortages, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions

    • Train, coach, and support Material Presenters; provide coverage during absences

    • Partner with Factory Leadership on obsolete and slow-moving inventory

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

    • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment

    • Escalate issues as needed and drive solutions using LEAN principles and standard work

    What We’re Looking For

    We’re seeking a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys developing others.

    You’re a great fit if you:

    • Communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)

    • Are forklift certified or able to become certified

    • Have working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

    • Are detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

    • Embrace LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement

    • Can train new associates and take ownership of issues from start to resolution

    • Work well in a team-oriented environment and prioritize safety

    • Can lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 9–10 hours per shift

    • Are willing to work overtime as needed

    • Can pass required pre-employment screenings

    • Are legally authorized to work in the U.S.

    Education & Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent required (vocational or trade training a plus)

    • 3–5 years of materials management or purchasing experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment preferred

    • Previous Team Leader experience strongly desired

    • Automotive industry experience is a plus
