PGS Worldwide is seeking a Material Planner in Apopka, FL for a contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Material Planner will support MRP planning by managing materials from dock to shipping, preparing material lists, coordinating procurement needs, and working with supply chain, program management, and operations teams to support production schedules.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of combined experience in material planning, global supply chain, or material handling.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Bill of Materials experience.
- Microsoft Excel experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and identify parts, quantities, routing, and special handling requirements.
- Ability to support material planning, work orders, schedules, and production requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with MRP or SAP MRP.
- Experience working with manufacturing specifications and drawings.
- Experience with material procurement strategy, shop work orders, reorder points, consumption tracking, and production control.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare lists of materials, accessories, and parts used in production.
- Review engineering and design blueprints to identify material requirements.
- Submit material lists to purchasing for purchase order support.
- Coordinate with supply chain, program management, and operations teams.
- Support delivery schedule adherence.
- Prepare shop work orders for materials and product processing.
- Coordinate with schedulers to ensure items are processed to specifications and schedule needs.
- Maintain progress reports, schedules, material planning records, reorder points, and consumption data.
Work Schedule / Shift
- Full-time onsite role.
- 5x8 schedule, Monday–Friday.
- 40 hours per week.
