Job Description:
Title:               Material Planner
Location:         Houston, TX ( Remote)
Duration:       0-8+ Months

Shift:                8: 00am to 5: 00 pm Monday-Friday
Pay:         $40.00/Hour-$42.00/Hour

 
Note: 100% remote after initial training period. Training may be in McIntosh, AL for 1 week. Company will cover travel costs except for meals. Candidate will need to pay for meals up front and can be expensed on the weekly timecards. No additional medical exams are required other than drug screening.
 
Responsibilities:
Focus: Raw Material/Packaging Planning
•Support the production planning process by being responsible for ordering raw materials and packaging to support the production plan. Monitor adherence to the production plan with operations and site logistics, identify gaps in the supply, working with production, regional planning and product management.
Duties:
•Defining and aligning long term raw material supply plan with regional planners and production scheduler.
•Identifying, escalating and communicating extras closely with different functions in case of bigger impacts or conflicts in production, e.G. Shutdowns, trials, etc.
•Coordinating raw materials and packaging availability and planning with materials management, coordinating logistics topics with production logistics and 3rd party providers for outsourced logistics.
•Creating purchase requisitions for raw materials, monitoring their availability and adherence to production plan with operations and site logistics, coordinating packaging and creating intercompany orders as well as performing master data updates (also for packaging regulations).
•Acting as “troubleshooter for problems with products assigned to the planner and being the contact person for interface to warehouse logistics providers, including responsibility for SAP WM topics and processes.
•Handling RACE requests for raw materials and create SAP Analyses in the context of RM planning.
•Plan purchase order requirements and monitor / expedite delivery of raw materials and packaging components for contract manufacturing formulation and packaging sites.
•Provide SAP order processing of raw materials and packaging components for contract manufacturing operations.
•Monitor and report actual and planned raw material and packaging component deliveries and status.
•Convert internal active ingredient and raw material requirements into purchase orders to global internal and external suppliers.
•Review production demands and planning purchase order requirements, and monitor raw material and component orders and stocks to ensure timely delivery to support production schedules.
•Expedite deliveries when required.
•Create reports to track open orders, supplier confirmations, and delivery dates to ensure communication of order and delivery status.
•Confirm required logistics activities are being organized for all related shipments.
•Reconcile month end physical inventories against SAP entries, verify invoices for approval, and assist in controlling raw material/packaging material deliveries and finished raw production at third party formulation and packaging/r.
 
Qualifications:
•BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Related Field with 2+ years of Supply Chain, Procurement, and/or Operations experience
•Knowledge of purchasing and receiving activities and inventory control operations
•Strong computer skills, including MS Office
•Demonstrated effective data analytic skills
•Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) programs
•Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills
•Experience with import planning
•Solid SAP skills (APO and R/3) usage
•working with PI or tank telemetry is a HUGE plus
•Well-rounded knowledge of local suppliers and import vendors
