Material Planner

• Material Planning includes but are not limited to:
• Running exception reports and communicating with the supply base on potential part issues.
• There are opportunities to communicate, and problem solve with cross functional teams including other supply chain team members, production, quality, engineering, customer response center, third party logistics and procurement.
• Communication may be direct with supply base and/or through corporate conference calls.
• Material planners are responsible for material inventory levels as it moves through the production cycle.

Responsibilities
" Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle
" Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules
" Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
" Develops specifications for new contract orders
" Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems

Minimum Requirements
" Bachelor's degree
OR
" At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
