Material Planning Coord III (On-site)

Our client is seeking a Material Planning Coordinator III to support production planning and material flow in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic setting and can effectively manage priorities, systems, and cross-functional communication.

In this position, you will be responsible for executing and managing MRP-based production schedules, ensuring material availability, and supporting shop floor operations. You will serve as a key liaison between production, supply chain, and internal stakeholders to maintain on-time delivery and resolve material-related issues.

• Execute, issue, and control MRP-based production schedules
• Serve as the primary interface between production management, supervisors, and material control teams
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to assigned production areas
• Monitor material availability and identify risks such as shortages, obsolescence, or misallocated inventory
• Perform inventory audits and support cycle count activities
• Track and update work order progress and material consumption within MRP systems
• Process transactions including goods receipts and movement to the next stage of production
• Prepare and manage documentation such as release requests, shipping documents, and material requests
• Conduct demand planning reviews to align inventory with production schedules
• Analyze stockouts, lead times, and delivery performance to support production needs
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure material readiness
• Communicate material constraints and coordinate resolutions across departments
• Support process improvements and maintain accurate planning data (PFEP, vendor-managed inventory, etc.)

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or a related field
• Associate’s degree in a technical or business-related discipline or equivalent experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic PowerPoint skills
• Experience working with MRP systems and production planning processes
• Ability to track and report on metrics such as scrap, cycle time, and reorder activity
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environments
• Experience with MRP systems such as Oracle or SAP
• Strong customer service mindset with ownership of deliverables
• Experience with process improvement and problem-solving initiatives
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
