Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Material Processor.
The hourly rate for this position is $22.52 per hour.

What you'll do:
- Accumulate and provide parts, tools, equipment, fixtures, and related details to employees engaged in assembly, and wiring on a wide variety of company products in a timely and organized manner.
- Set up and adjust various testing equipment, power tools and related equipment. Assist wirer assemblers with completing final assemblies and sub assemblies when necessary. Assignments for the group given by others.
- Collaborate with Supervision, Planning, and Group Leaders to execute released builds in a timely, orderly manner.
- Collaborate in parallel with the warehouse team to ensure the requisition and organizing of material is done in a timely, and orderly manner.
- Stage requisitioned material in a manner that organizes and ensures workflow to the assembly work areas.
- Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the MRS (Material Replenishment System).
- Review raw materials and floor stock inventory to maintain required levels of parts, riveting and packing materials, and reordering as necessary.
- Visually inspect incoming parts. Detect and correct faulty operations and defective material.
- Perform the required cycle counts on inventory daily to reflect inventory showing in SAP.
- Use powered industrial fork truck, hand truck or cart to move or deliver material as needed.
- Perform clerical duties as required to ensure an organized work area and distribution of material to various work centers.
- Use Work Flow for reference purposes as required.
- Refer all questionable conditions relating to workflow to Supervision and Planning.
- Document errors found in drawings, production orders or other paperwork used to produce customer orders and recommend engineering changes and improvements.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following department procedures. Administer 5 S's
- Help promote a team environment alongside Supervision, other Group Leaders, and Assembly Trainer.
- Complete training as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Knowledge and previous experience with Microsoft Excel and SAP.
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment.
- Previous fork truck experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills
- Additional educational or vocational training is a plus but not required.
Additional Information:
Physical and Environmental Factors:
- Occasional lifting of parts up to 25 pounds.
- Most parts typically weigh 5 pounds or less.
- Most lifting of material is utilized by a hoist.
- Prolonged standing throughout the shift.
- Frequent use of fork truck throughout the shift to move material

- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Syracuse, NY (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
