The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos' is seeking a Materials Requisitioner / Planner in the Long Beach, MS facility in a growing, fast-paced environment.
THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)
- Manage the fulfillment acquisition process
- Create purchase requisitions in CostPoint
- Communicate effectively with DOD industry suppliers and cultivate meaningful relationships
- Manage Leidos required supplier paperwork
- Collaborate with product engineering, production planning, purchasing and quality teams for mission success
- Track supplier on-time delivery
- Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation
- Maintain purchasing records and purchasing BOM status
- Data analysis
- Understand production flow
- Create, open and close manufacturing orders
- Other administrative duties as required
WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of relevant procurement experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with experience in procurement AND/OR a combination of certifications, training, education, or military experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- MRP knowledge or experience (Costpoint)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using Windchill or a similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously
- Good organization and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exposure to supply chain and commodity management in DFAR environment
- Strong customer interface skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Strong Excel experience (Create workbooks, create formulas, applying formats, sort, and filter data, etc.)
- Individuals must possess strong characteristics around initiative, attitude, assertiveness and sense of urgency
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- DoD or Military contract experience
- Supply chain experience
- Experience using Solumina
- Ability to read mechanical drawing and data sheets
