The CKD Material Purchasing Specialist is responsible for the establishment and administration of the Purchasing Working Group. Ensuring the production line has a continuous supply of needed parts by monitoring inventory levels and purchasing processes, providing information to suppliers, working on trial builds and Purchase Orders, maintaining purchasing information, providing information for status reports, and analyzing part requirements.

CKD Purchasing Specialist oversees both parts procurement and logistics.Core duties generally include:
Material Ordering & Inventory: Requisition and track part inventories to meet Just-in-Sequence (JIS) production demands. Analyze part requirements, issue purchase orders, and monitor trial builds.
Customs Clearance: Monitor import trade policies, coordinate with customs brokers, verify HS-codes, and maintain vital shipping documents (e.g., Certificates of Origin, B/L).
Logistics & Demurrage Management: Track shipping containers in transit, at ports, and at plants. Manage port detention and demurrage charges to control costs.
Shortage Reporting: Present reports on part shortages, expediting delivery to prevent production downtime.
System Management: Maintain accurate material data and financial transactions within enterprise resource planning tools like the SAP System and supplier portals.
