 Job Title: Material Specialist

Location: Houma, LA

Position Overview: Bollinger is seeking a Material Specialist to locate and move materials and parts from warehouse to storage areas and between work areas of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Reviews production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required materials

·        Confers with department supervisors to determine materials overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and the condition of the materials

·        Will load and unload materials to and from delivery trucks, either internal or external.

·        Will receive, uncrate, and inspect materials received at the Warehouse

·        Performs physical inventory counts and enter counts in inventory management software

·        Locates and moves materials distributed and on hand

·        Compares work ticket specifications with material prior to loading truck at warehouse

Qualifications:

·        Six (6) months’ experience in a similar role preferred

·        Forklift certification required

·        A valid driver’s license is required

·        Must be familiar with measuring devices and have basic computer skills

Skills and Abilities:

·        Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

 Overhead crane experience preferred
