Nonexempt $34.16 hourly H&W 7.50Job Summary:The Material Support Technician performs inventory management, material coordination, and cataloguing at the Hill Air Force Base, UT. Minimum Requirements and QualificationsHighschool diploma or equivalent.Must be a US Citizen.Must have a Secret Clearance and able to maintain.Knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies etc.Good problem-solving skills.Attention to detail.Good computer skills.ResponsibilitiesAssists in managing decentralized and decontrolled items (supplies, equipment).Assists in inventory requirements determination and forecasting, distribution of materials, procurement authorizations, etc.Performs material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.Processes and expedites supply transactions related to particular organizations serviced.Writes item descriptions, using requirements for a range of new items entering the supply channels.Reviews existing stock catalogs, manufacturers catalogs, drawings, or other resource materials, for the purpose of matching characteristics or part numbers to identify duplicate items.Performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsWorking ConditionsThe working conditions will mostly be a well-lit, shop environment. Physical RequirementsThis position must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as well as have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
