Shift: 1st, (7am-3pm)
Pay: $17-$22/hr (based on experience)
The Material Technician is responsible for managing and maintaining materials, resins, and auxiliary equipment to support efficient production operations. This role ensures that all work centers are properly supplied according to manufacturing orders, helping minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
Job Description:
- Pre-stage materials for upcoming production setups based on priority schedules.
- Set up and maintain material handling and auxiliary equipment, including grinders and dryers, following work center layouts.
- Clean loaders, hoses, feed throats, and filters at presses to ensure optimal performance.
- Mix materials, color concentrates, and regrind according to manufacturing specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance, dryer levels, and grinder operations to prevent production interruptions.
- Label materials and equipment accurately and maintain proper identification tags.
- Complete end-of-shift material reports and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members across shifts to ensure continuity of operations.
