Materials Associate

Materials Associate on 1^st Shift.

As a Materials Associate, you will responsible for the management of material storage and movement, shipping, receiving, and incoming inspection to ensure no negative impact to our internal and external on time delivery. The ideal candidate may have experience in Warehouse/Receiving and/or Quality Inspection in a Production Environment.

Must Haves:

• Excellent Organizational & Problem Solving Skills
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Strong Computer Skills for Windows Based Computer Programs as well as visual systems (such as visual manufacturing) and shipping software (such as Fedex or UPS)
• Strong data-entry skill set
• Ability to multi-task as well as motivation to grow and learn multiple systems and functions of the role on the materials team
• Ability to Work With Minimal Supervision in a Fast Paced and Team Oriented Work Environment
• Previous inspection experience- use of hand-held inspection tools, such as calipers & micrometers
• Self-motivated, self-directed, and high sense of urgency

Nice to have skills:

• Previous experience with blueprint reading and interpreting simple drawings
• Previous Experience in a Warehouse and Shipping/Receiving Environment
• Fork Truck Experience
• Leadership experience-especially with both verbal and written communication is a plus!

Additional Requirements:

• This position requires the ability to move product around the facility and between facilities, including travel out-of-doors.
• Position requires lifting of product and packages on a regular basis and lifting up to 50lbs occasionally.
• This position will be expected to stand frequently, normally 80-90% of the day but occasionally may be up to 100% of the day.
• This position will also require the use of a fork truck and utility truck to transfer product within and between facilities.
