Our Client, a Material Engineering company, is looking for a Materials - Buyer - Direct – Intermediate for their Benicia, CA location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage POs (purchase orders) using MRP software; track shipments and resolve any delivery issues
  • Communicate with vendors regarding open orders, scheduling, and RFQs
  • Communicate with the appropriate departments/purchase requesters about order statuses, including any order delays or issues
  • Negotiate piercing, lead times, and terms with vendors
  • Maintain vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Buy items from our online vendors as required by our MRP (material requirement planning) software
  • Work with the accounting department to research inaccuracies in receipts compared to invoices
  • Obtain RMAs from supplies and process DMR parts through the system
 
Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities according to current demands
  • Ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or Google Doc/Sheets
  • Detailed oriented
  • Technical parts knowledge—electronic components are a plus!
