Materials Coordinator - New Opening!

Allied Personnel Services is seeking candidates for a Materials Coordinator opening!  This temp to hire opportunity offers full time, 1st shift hours. Pay is $24.00-30.00/hr based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming materials, parts, and equipment verifying quantities, accuracy, and quality
• Prepare purchase orders, get quotes, and follow up with suppliers on order status and delivery dates
• Record receipts and inventory transactions in ERP
• Work with production teams to stage material and keep the build schedule moving
• Monitor inventory levels and flag shortages or discrepancies before they become a problem
• Run cycle counts and other inventory control activities
• Maintain supplier documentation and records for compliance and audits

Candidates for this role must have a background in shipping, warehouse operations, materials coordination, and logistics in a manufacturing setting. Experience using an ERP is a must. Successful candidates will also have experience w/ inventory control practices. Forklift experience is strongly preferred. Understanding of freight billing also helpful.
