POSITION SUMMARY
The Systems Material Coordinator is responsible for the system-side execution and coordination of production material ordering activities. This role supports production by preparing and maintaining release-ready waves, reviewing inventory availability, validating shelf life and batch requirements for finished gifts, supporting material allocation decisions, and performing system-side cleanup and adjustment activities.
This role serves as the primary system-based support function for production material flow and works closely with Floor Material Coordinators, planners, supervisors, and subject matter experts to ensure that materials are system-ready and accurately controlled.

- Review production schedules and prepare release-ready waves in advance for assigned areas
- Build, maintain, and update waves by production order, delivery point, timing, and material need
- Link wave information to the shared production schedule or designated control tool
- Review available inventory, prior orders, PSA inventory, and warehouse stock before preparing waves
- Perform shelf-life validation and batch suitability review before material release
- Identify blocked, inspection, short-dated, or otherwise restricted inventory conditions
- Work with planners and area experts on substitutions, batch conflicts, shelf-life exceptions, and material constraints
- Apply department-specific ordering logic, delivery-point rules, and area-specific material handling requirements
- Support multi-day order planning by splitting waves into appropriate release amounts based on production needs
- Update or adjust wave setup, delivery point, timing, and quantities before release when needed
- Assist production floor personnel with system-related ordering questions and exception handling
- Process system adjustments, cleanup, discrepancy corrections, and PSA-related inventory support based on validated floor input
- Investigate stuck, hung, or failed transactions and coordinate with system support resources when needed
- Help maintain accuracy between floor activity and system inventory positions
- Process production order after execution, issue/consume components correctly, and handle backflush-related issues
- Resolve failed or incomplete transactions tied to the production order
- Reconcile differences between what the system says and what was actually used
- Perform final production order close activities, including TECO-type close steps.
- Support training of floor and systems personnel on materials-related system processes
- Maintain accurate records, standard work, and process consistency across assigned area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
