At Novant Health, behind every great clinical team is a strong operational support team. As a Materials Coordinator, you will play a critical hands-on role ensuring hospital departments are fully stocked, organized, and ready to care for patients.

This is an entry-level, physically active position focused on stocking, supply distribution, and inventory control throughout the hospital. The majority of the day is spent on hospital units, in supply rooms, and moving materials. If you enjoy fast-paced, on-your-feet work and supporting frontline caregivers, this role is for you.

7:00am - 3:30pm with occasional weekends and holidays necessary

What We're Looking For:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Entry-level position

  • Previous stocking, warehouse, hospital, or materials management experience highly preferred

  • Healthcare experience helpful but not required

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work on your feet for the majority of the shift

  • Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and organization

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking

What You'll Do:
  • Stock and replenish medical supplies across multiple hospital departments

  • Maintain accurate par levels and inventory control

  • Organize and maintain clean, compliant supply rooms

  • Transport supplies, carts, and equipment throughout the hospital

  • Receive, distribute, and put away incoming deliveries

  • Rotate stock and remove expired products

  • Respond quickly to urgent supply requests from clinical teams

  • Assist with specialty carts, kits, and equipment restocking

  • Utilize inventory systems and handheld devices to track supply usage

This role requires extended periods of walking, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
