PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform an in-depth documentation review of materials received and process certifications from suppliers for first article and production parts.
• Develop reverse engineering materials test plans to be sent to outside labs.
• Provide support in preparation of documentation required to send first article and production parts to outside Materials Analysis labs.
• Interface with outside labs.
• Review test reports for accuracy and complete test plans.
• Perform in-house materials testing with XRF equipment, FTIR, Rockwell hardness, Shore hardness, and passivation test.
• Training will be provided.
• Develop and maintain materials and process specifications in compliance with aerospace standards, e.g., ASTM AMS MILOther Duties assigned by Materials Engineering.
