This Material Handler position on 1st shift involves preparing parts and assemblies for shipment, verifying incoming materials, and maintaining inventory.
- Responsibilities include wrapping, packing, labeling, and shipping items according to work orders and specifications.
- Uses MRP systems to manage deliveries and create packing slips.
- Handles shipping containers, affixes labels, and determines shipment methods, weights, and charges.
- Verifies outgoing and incoming shipments, inspects for damages, and communicates discrepancies.
- Operates handtrucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts to move shipments.
- Supports ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Requires ability to read technical documents, perform basic math, and follow detailed instructions.
- Must lift up to 50 pounds, with accommodations available.
- Minimum education: high school diploma or GED, with 0-3 years of related experience.
- Entry-level role with supervision and guidance from leads or supervisors.
