Materials Handler

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Materials Handler for a position in the Charlotte market. This role involves managing inventory, processing orders, and interacting with technicians daily in a warehouse setting. The ideal candidate will be capable of self-managing their workday and ensuring the warehouse is organized and efficient. This position is initially to cover a leave but has the potential to become a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

• Check and order inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Receive and process requests from technicians for job-specific materials.
• Receive incoming shipments, sort boxes, and stage them for jobs or place them on shelves.
• Manage and process incoming emails and orders.
• Ensure the security and accountability of inventory by documenting transactions using computer-based systems.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and secure warehouse facility.
• Replenish truck stock for fleet vehicles.
• Handle pallets of boxes, sort them by technician, and stage them accordingly.

Required Qualifications

Education: A High School Diploma is required.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in material handling and inventory control is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with computer systems for inventory management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to sort, filter, and find data.
• Ability to operate warehouse-related equipment.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication and customer service skills for daily interactions with technicians.
• Ability to self-manage daily tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to climb a ladder.

Preferred Qualifications

• A college degree is preferred.
• Experience with perpetual inventory management systems like Oracle.
