Materials Handler III

Location: Pomona, CA
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Shift: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Materials Handler III is responsible for performing material movement activities within a warehouse environment. This role supports inventory management, receiving, shipping, material transfers, cycle counting, and order fulfillment while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, GMP, ISO, and FDA requirements. The position may require operation of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to support warehouse operations and customer shipments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform material movements, inventory transactions, and warehouse activities accurately and efficiently.
  • Process receiving, put-away, stock transfers, material requests, and order fulfillment activities.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and incoming/outgoing shipments.
  • Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Utilize ERP systems to process material transactions and inventory management activities.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to resolve material issues.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, and other material handling equipment as required.
  • Support warehouse material flow processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of warehouse associates as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient material flow and customer service.
  • Follow GMP, ISO, FDA, environmental, health, and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and team-oriented work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of material handling, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management processes.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material movement.
  • Ability to perform cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
