Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support receiving, inventory control, quality verification, and shipping activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring product quality, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate has experience handling materials in a manufacturing, distribution, or electronics environment and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Shipping
Receive, unload, inspect, and process incoming shipments using material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
Package, label, and prepare outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
Move materials between receiving, inventory, storage, and production areas as needed.
Maintain shipping and receiving records and documentation.
Inventory & Material Control
Organize, store, and track inventory to ensure accuracy and traceability.
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
Maintain inventory records using Microsoft Excel and other business systems.
Research parts and product information using online resources and manufacturer documentation.
Quality Verification
Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, quantity, condition, date codes, and compliance requirements.
Verify part numbers and product specifications, identifying and documenting discrepancies.
Compare received products against invoices and packing slips and escalate issues as needed.
Repackage and properly label materials for inventory storage and handling.
Qualifications
2–4+ years of experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
Ability to review documentation, perform inventory counts, and maintain records.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience with electronic components such as semiconductors, integrated circuits, capacitors, resistors, and diodes is highly preferred.
Ability to independently research product information and specifications.
Physical Requirements
Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and move throughout the workday.
Comfortable working in warehouse and inventory environments.
Ability to safely handle and package sensitive materials.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
