Role Overview

 

The Materials Management Analyst is responsible for coordinating recycled battery

material programs and managing the execution of material offtake activities across the Lancaster recycling facility. This role serves as the critical link between Commercial, Operations, Logistics, Inventory Control, Finance, and external customers to

ensure material availability, inventory visibility, shipment execution, and fulfillment of customer and contractual commitments. The position focuses on driving successful program execution by coordinating production schedules, inventory management,

customer requirements, and recycled material shipments. The Materials Management Analyst ensures recovered materials are accurately tracked, available for sale or downstream processing, and delivered to customers and strategic partners in accordance with contractual obligations and operational objectives. This role plays a key part in maximizing inventory utilization, supporting revenue generation, maintaining customer satisfaction, and advancing Cirba Solutions' commitment to sustainable battery recycling and critical material recovery.

Key Responsibilities

 

Program Management & Customer Coordination

  • Serve as the primary coordinator for assigned recycled material and customer programs.
  • Manage customer requirements, project milestones, material delivery schedules, and program documentation.
  • Coordinate communication between Commercial, Operations, Logistics, Finance, and customers.
  • Monitor program performance and proactively identify risks to customer commitments.
  • Support onboarding and implementation of new customer programs and strategic partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate program records, schedules, action items, and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate regular cross-functional reviews of program status and material availability.


Offtake Management & Material Planning

  • Coordinate the movement of recycled battery materials from inventory to customer delivery.
  • Manage fulfillment of customer and contractual offtake commitments.
  • Monitor finished goods inventory levels against sales forecasts and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams to align inventory availability with sales opportunities.
  • Track shipment schedules and ensure product readiness for customer orders.
  • Identify potential inventory constraints and work with Operations to develop mitigation plans.
  • Provide visibility to inventory positions, available material, and anticipated production output.


Inventory Coordination & Material Visibility

  • Maintain oversight of inventory levels for recycled products, work-in-process materials, and battery feedstocks.
  • Monitor inventory movements and transaction accuracy within ERP systems.
  • Coordinate inventory reconciliation, cycle count activities, and physical inventory support.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions with operational teams.
  • Analyze inventory aging and recommend actions to improve turnover and material utilization.
  • Ensure material traceability from receipt through final disposition.
  • Support warehouse optimization initiatives that improve inventory accuracy, accessibility, and material flow.


Logistics & Shipment Coordination

  • Coordinate outbound shipments to customers, refiners, processors, and strategic partners.
  • Work with carriers, logistics providers, and internal teams to support on-time delivery.
  • Ensure shipping documentation, transfer records, and inventory records are accurate and complete.
  • Monitor shipment status and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in transportation planning and cost optimization efforts.
  • Coordinate returnable packaging, inventory transfers, and special handling requirements when applicable.


Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain reports related to inventory, customer commitments, shipments, and program status.
  • Track key performance indicators and communicate results to leadership.
  • Analyze inventory trends, forecasting requirements, and fulfillment performance.
  • Support month-end inventory reporting and reconciliation activities.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for improving inventory and program performance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory visibility, reporting accuracy, and material flow.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Participate in ERP enhancements and process improvement projects.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Drive initiatives that improve customer responsiveness and operational efficiency.


Safety, Compliance & Environmental Responsibility

  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support compliance with RCRA, DOT, OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental requirements.
  • Maintain inventory and shipment records required for customer, regulatory, and audit purposes.
  • Participate in safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in program coordination, supply chain management, logistics, inventory management, manufacturing operations, recycling operations, or related fields.
  • Strong project and program management skills.
  • Experience analyzing inventory, forecasts, and operational performance metrics.
  • Ability to work independently while driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

 

Preferred:

  • APICS, CSCP, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or related professional certification.
  • Experience in battery recycling, metals recycling, automotive manufacturing, industrial processing, circular economy operations, or waste/materials management.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or similar business systems.
  • Experience managing customer-facing programs, inventory planning, and logistics coordination.
