Akkodis is seeking a Materials Management & Logistics Specialist II for a Contract job with a client in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate must have experience in inventory control, logistics coordination, and procurement processes, along with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Rate Range: $29/hour to $31/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Materials Management & Logistics Specialist II job responsibilities include:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock to support production and operational needs.
Coordinate procurement activities with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate material deliveries.
Manage receiving, storage, and distribution of materials in line with company procedures.
Track and document inventory transactions, shipments, and material usage with high accuracy.
Partner with vendors and internal teams to ensure efficient logistics and supply chain coordination.
Analyze data to identify process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in materials management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory tracking systems.
Solid understanding of procurement, warehousing, and logistics processes.
Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across vendors and internal teams.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Pay Details: $29.00 to $31.00 per hour
