Materials Manager

Materials Supervisor Purpose of the Position: Manage the day to day operations of materials management, receiving and material delivery throughout warehouses and manufacturing plant.  Essential job functions:Supervise department personnel including material handler(s), forklift operator(s), and receiver(s). Responsible for inventory control and implementing/maintaining a cycle count program.Responsible for ensuring materials are received accurately and issued to jobs electronically in the company's ERP system accordingly.Responsible for timely delivery of materials throughout the facility.Execute problem solving methods such as root cause analysis for receiving and/or inventory discrepancies.Lead continuous improvement activities in your area of responsibilities.Understand and enforce all company policies.Create and enforce a safe work environment while enforcing all company safety rules.Assures the department personnel are following the Safety guidelines and programs.Assures warehouse compliance with ISO program through managers and supervisors. Knowledge, skills and requirements:Must be PC literate. Knowledge of using ERP systems and MicroSoft Excel is preferred.Must have strong communication skills.Must have strong organizational skills.Must have strong problem solving skills.Must be able to lead change in your area.Must be able to lead area independent of constant/immediate supervision.Must have 3+ years experience in materials supervision in a fast paced manufacturing environment and have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures.
